Does your G4 has motherboard problem?

I purchased my LG G4 in November and had it for six months before I sent a text and then the screen went blank and I knew the phone died! Called LG and sent it in (under possibly the SLOWEST Fed Ex shipment possible - their shipping option, not mine) and they had it for 12 days. When I got it back I turned it on and it Got to the screen when it asked me what language I wanted to use before I saw the LG start up screen and then the phone died again! I called LG and they said it would have to be sent back to them for repair. I asked for expedited shipping (nope), a loaner phone (nope - to be fair I know this is a carrier thing but thought I'd ask since they DO have extra phones there), ANY form of compensation (nope) or help but was only told how sorry they were. It's now round 2, day 7, and I just found out my motherboard was the problem and it is being replaced. I'll simply wait for the Fed Ex truck next week once it's shipped.

I post this to let folks know that this is still an existing problem in case they might want to grab a reduced priced G4 now that the 5s are out. It's an odd repair process with LG and you need to know that you'll be without your phone and any specific updates from LG as the repair(s) are being made.

Does anyone with a replaced motherboard have any comments about the phone working well/better or are problems still existing following the replacement?

I like the G4 but the repair process, minimal customer service response, and little issues will probably keep me from buying another LG phone.

Yes. LG G4 is faulty device...My motherboard crashed in December last year. LG fixed it because it was in warranty period. Then there was another problem in display(in April) LG replaced entire front because it was in warranty. Now its July the replaced mother board crashed again but now its out of warranty. This is the first time bought LG device. Trust LG, Lenovo, Acer, etc ain't good at making devices :confused::confused::-X:-X

I had Samsung Note, Note 2, Note 3, Note 4, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S4, S5, S6, Edge...newer faced any problem with Samsung devices. Go with Nexus/ Samsung/ Cyanogen....or buy an iPhone(iPhone never die)v:cool::cool::cool:

I wish I have never bought this LG G4. I liked it a lot actually because of camera and remote control capabilities. However one day my phone stopped working. I bought this phone from ebay and LG services in USA did not fix it so I had to send the phone to Singapore.

My motherboard went out again. First one stopped working end of 15 , got this replacement and same problem months later. Sprint tried to get me to pay but I have insurance thankfully as it's been over a year.

Hello
I burned motherboard model LG G-4 (H 818P), and I want to buy please give me Information manager.

I got the same exact problem mentioned in this forum. I bought this LG G4 DUAL from eBay in Nov2015 and in Feb2017 Stopped working. Contacted LG HK and they told me the warranty is 12 months so I need to pay for everything. When I told LG HK customer care about this issue they replied to me by email as quoted here: "For the official of LG Hong Kong, we have not information about LG G4 Hong Kong version has defective issue." Unbelievable. Such a big company selling out so many products and they don't even provide a suitable solution to their customers when the problem was created by their own production line. This is really not acceptable. How do they ever believe that customers who faced this issue, and all their friends, would ever buy an LG product? All my friends wouldn't. I told everyone in my circle about this issue and everyone thanked me as I was an eye-opener for them so not to buy any LG product. Hope that you do the same after you have read my post. There are so many other manufacturers. We live a better life without LG!!!

I have an AT&T LG G4 since 2015, after a year I experienced the bootloop problem and brought it back to att, they said they cant repair it so they replaced it with a new one. after another year the new G4 that they sent me now has a wifi and bluetooth problem, both of them wont turn on anymore, and found out that its a mainboard problem. I'm already frustrated because i'm losing alot of files and time because of these flaws. very disappointed. this would be the last time i'll use LG products... they suck!!
