Should I always have it on or should I turn it off during calls?

During calls it shouldn't affect much, really. Not even sure if Atmos even does anything while in-call (it sounds the same to me with it on/off). But you can just keep it in Auto if you want. Also, remember that Atmos only works with BT or wired headsets for calls.
