Dolphin browser help

I am rooted and s-on. Is anyone else having problems trying to type in the thread box. When I tap on the box, the screen turns green for a second then the cursor blinks but the keyboard will not come up. I am using SwiftKey. Chrome works but I don't like it as well as dolphin

Have you tried another keyboard, or the default keyboard?

I know on my ICS 4.0.4 tablet that Dolphin with ANY non-stock keyboard does weird stuff, keyboard won't come up half the time and it skips letters when it does actually come up, but the stock keyboard works fine.

I have not tried that yet. I hate to use another keyboard. It worked great before ics

Have you tried clearing data on the Swiftkey app, verifying you have the current version, uninstall/reboot/reinstall of Swiftkey... there are lots of known issues with ICS and Swiftkey X, are using that or Swiftkey 3?

Also, if this is since ICS, have you done a factory reset of your phone? It is HIGHLY recommended to do a factory reset after upgrading from Gingerbread to ICS.

Hmmm... just re-read this... this sounds like it might be more of a browser issue than a keyboard issue. Have you tired accessing other sites with a similar format (like here), perhaps it is incompatibility with ICS's Java, Flash, or something like that?

I am on swiftkey3. I have done all the resets when I installed ics. I am on ineffabillis rom, don't know if that has anything to do with it. Lastly this is the site I first noticed the problem

Yes, and it's not too bad either... but it won't help with other sites.

Have you tried a different ROM, ViperRez or something?

I'm going to try venom as soon as I get some time and do a little research. Want to make sure I'm comfortable installing it

One more thing before you try that, go into Settings-Developer Options and make sure Force GPU Rendering is enabled!

I was reading some AOSP threads on XDA last night and lots of people had similar keyboard issues and this was the answer in almost all cases (seems to be a common thing with non-stock ROMs on the Rezound).

Thanks for the tip Ace, that didn't work either I can quickly tap in the box and the keyboard will come up for a split second then disappear

I am using swiftkey 3 and, I can confirm sbb888 problem with Dolphin HD. It's kind of broken.

Thanks Bellken, it doesn't work with stock browser either for me, for that matter the stock keyboard doesn't work either
