The browser has an option to show web pages at full screen meaning that it will hide the Android notification bar. While the notification bar doesn't take up all that much space, it would be nice to have that space when viewing Flash videos that are closer to a 4x3 ratio.
The option worked fine in 2.1, but under Froyo, selecting the option has no effect; the notification bar is always visible. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice to have that 5 - 7% of browser space back.
Now, the obvious thing would be to delete and re-install the app, but I don't want to lose my settings and cookies without a hint that re-installing could fix the problem. If re-installing could possibly fix it, I'm fine with that.
Does the full screen mode work for anyone on Froyo?
Thanks.
