I accidently deleted some pictures from my galaxy s3. I looked online to see if I could recover them, well apparently something went horribly wrong. I am now stuck with the "firmware upgrade encountered and issue" on my screen. I downloaded Kies and put in my model number which was fine. I've been trying to find my serial number for the last hour and a half and everyone I input is wrong. Is there a way for me to get my serial number somewhere or to get my phone to actually work again. Mind you my service provider is metro pcs, so I don't know if that also affect where my serial number might be located.

Sorry for the late reply - just came across this today.

The serial number that Kies is looking for is the IMEI - it's under the battery (along with the model number).

If you have the phone in Download mode and it's connected to the computer, it's safe to remove the battery to get that information.

Edit: in the future you may want to try Dumpster: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.baloota.dumpster - if you accidentally delete files you can use it to recover them (it has to be installed and run before you delete the files).
