I know this is probably hard to find but are there any decent doorbell cameras that don't have a subscription?

Ring used to have free camera notifications for movement outside but they require a subscription to see now.

I've used EUFY previously for indoors and was solid and I see it came up when I asked for recommendations

Top Recommendations
1. Best for Package Protection: Eufy E340 Video Doorbell
The Eufy E340 Video Doorbell stands out because it features two cameras: one for a head-on view of visitors and a second, downward-facing camera specifically for monitoring packages on your doorstep. It records video in sharp 2K resolution and offers 8GB of internal storage for footage, meaning you don't need a separate memory card or cloud subscription to save and review clips. It also provides free smart object detection, which can distinguish between people and packages.

2. Best for High Resolution and Features: AOSU Video Doorbell Ultra
The AOSU Video Doorbell Ultra delivers exceptional video quality with detailed 3K resolution. Reviewers praise it for including all the high-end features—such as smart motion detection and two-way talk—without locking any of them behind a subscription. The videos are encrypted and stored locally on the included Home Base, which typically provides enough storage for months of loop recording. This model is a popular choice for users who want premium features without recurring fees.

Best Budget Option: Wyze Video Doorbell V2
For users looking for the most affordable option, the Wyze Video Doorbell V2 is a top pick. It provides 2K video and supports local microSD card storage for 24/7 continuous recording, eliminating the need for a subscription to view your footage. It's also compatible with your home's existing chime and works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.
