"Dot" instead of wifi symbol sometimes

Hey guys and girls.
Recently I noticed at the top of my screen, right beside the notch, which BTW, does NOT bother me one little bit.....a little "dot" where the wifi symbol sometimes is .....
Anyhow know what this is??

Can you post a screenshot? That probably means that you have some notification icons hidden because there's not enough room on the status bar for all of them.

I really hate the "dot". I wish they would move the overflowed icons to the left side of the notch. The left side is empty except for the Time.

I guess that mixing app and system notifications on the same side could be confusing and a bit of a mess. I really prefer keeping them separated. You all could try enabling the System UI Tuner and see if it works to hide system icons such as the battery. I've tried it on my Moto G7+ running Pie and it works.

Its probably the overflow dot that let's you know that you have more notifications.

Haha, of course, the dot is gone and now the wifi symbol is back up ....
Overflow for notifications eh.... Will keep an eye on it, thanks everyone!

Top right corner. The little dot to the right of where the notch would be....

No, notifications are cleared....

Its probably the overflow dot that let's you know that you have more notifications.

Also, you can make more room for system notifications if you go to settings - battery and switch 'battery percentage' off.

Yeah... I missed where you said right side.

You probably have something turned on giving you a system notification overflow: an alarm, Do Not Disturb, headphones, etc.

They just move lower with no change in the amount displayed
