Double notifications from Email on Spam

I wonder if anyone else has seen this and has a solution. When I mark an email as spam in the email app, I will get another notification sound from the app, like I got a new email, but no new email is there and it seems to be from the fact that I marked the last email as spam. Maybe when it sync's this to the junk folder on exchange? I would still like to report spam emails, but I really don't want the notification. I had a G3 before this and never had this issue. It is very annoying. Is there a way to not get notified after you mark an email as spam?
