Downgraded from zvh on wife's phone. Then I used an older version of gingersnap to root. I couldn't get latest gingersnap to work, but it worked with old version... I installed reborn rom. Yesterday su was working, today it's not working. All root required apps say that phone isn't rooted. All phone info matches mine, and her phone is still zvd.... what happened ? So I'm guessing I need to restore nandroid backup? She's gonna be mad. Please help! Thanks

Did you remember the first time you run "su" your phone should be on and unlocked as there will be a prompt that needs to be acknowledged?

Did you just get temporary root or did you install persistent root?

In adb shell type
ls -l /system/bin/su

Post output

Well the gingersnap didn't have an option for permanent or temporary root. When I ran adb shell the first time I clicked on allow on su on the phone.

I think the su likely was updated at some point that cause the issue. There have been reported issues with the new superuser update. Try going to settings>applications>manage apps>superuser>uninstall updates.
