Download Album Keeps Disappearing from Album

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and lately when I download an image it will save into my gallary in a "download" album. After a day goes by, when I go into my gallary, the download album is no longer there. When I go to my "My Files" app and go to download history, I see the pictures that I downloaded but when I click on it, it says "unable to open file. The file was deleted, moved, or renamed." I never deleted, moved or renamed it so I'm not sure why this keeps happening. I've tried restarting, clearing all cache and force stopping the Gallery in my applications manager and nothing is working. Is anyone else having this problem and do you know how to fix it?

Where are you downloading this image from? Email attachment? Whatsapp?

I'm downloading the image from multiple sources. Online, my text message if someone sends me a picture, etc.
