Download: My Viper ICS & kernel builds

That did it, but I can't download it. Google Chrome marks it as a virus, and since it is a government computer, it red-flagged the file and I'm locked out until I can get an security anaylst to secure wipe my hard-drive. :(

Lol, it's not much of a hassle. The hassle is that two hours and a half drive to Quantico every day. I recently moved from Washington, DC to Newport News, VA since the office I was working in was based in the navy yard, but they recently moved the office to Quantico, but I didn't research how far my apartment was from the base . :| :\

So, i try doing a restore and i get MD5 mismatch. any ideas?

--- EDIT ---

Backup is not creating nandroid.md5 when backing up so it will not restore unless you create it via adb.

Okay so i might have overlooked it but we arr waiting on a flashable zip for this rom right?

kind of, the kernel isnt working correctly. I have a flashable zip that i assume works but each time i try to boot the phone it boots directly into recovery. So we are working on that for now.

Re: Download: My Viper ICS & kernel builds

Well darn that sucks but at least we have a working recovery now! Hopefully all you advanced guys get this thing figured out. It will be sweet if you guys beat lg and sprint to the 4.0 update. Its also awesome that there are more devs taking interest in this phone! Good luck guys and thanks for what your doing!

I am going too start making a rom and kernel after I know all bugs are fixed in recovery and mostly make both ics and gb roms with some reboot and recovery options when you press power off phone

I wish someone could verify that backup and recovery were working. Then hopefully the reboot problem gets fixed and we aren't too far off. If you build the rom and kernel I will flash and test. I spent 6 hours trying to get my rom to boot. It flashed fine but would only boot into recovery so it leads me to believe something is wrong with boot.img

This may be far off but your zip looks like a upgrade zip. Upgrades are a no-go on CWM no matter what device you use, and stock recovery isn't going to recognize the zip because it's not LG signed.'

EDIT: Well flashing a update on my phone via CWM worked so disregard the above.

Did you buy one off contract to use for development? I remember reading you were going to but didn't know if you did.

No , not yet. I tried flashing my update from GB to ICS (on my Epic 4G Touch) via CWM and it worked.

Nigel, i like your speed test results. I can only think of one place that could possibly be better in the united state. That would have to be my hometown and current residence of Kansas City, Missouri. Gotta love the google fiber even if we dont get it installed until next year.

So i have been looking around to see whether or not our source was complete. My results have been good. Samsung's 4.0.4 source code for a gs3 is almost the exact same size as our source code after they have been unzipped. The same goes for a few other phones as well. The files contained in each of the builds are also comparable. So to my belief, i think we have everything we need to build a solid copy of ICS for out vipers. Hopefully someone a bit more experienced than myself can step in and help out.
