download pending after pie update

Play store shows download pending when I click to update any App after Pie update installed
On T-Mobile S9

Any idea how to fix?

probably have too many at once trying to update. Select stop. Make sure your on wifi and then update

If this is still happening, try going to Settings>Apps, select Google Play Store, tap Storage, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager -- you probably have to tap Menu>Show System to see it. Now try again.

Ok I will do these steps again but I did them before and it fixed the problem but it keeps on coming back

Play will only download one app at a time, but it will start updates for all apps that need updating. All apps after the one currently updating are "pending". (If you've got 20 apps that need updating, you could have apps pending for an hour or two.)

found out problem happens when using lookout VPN

turn off VPN and it works ok

I've been having this problem and deleted data, cache etc countless times.
Sometimes it worked, others not.

Read your comment about VPN and i'm using NoRoot firewall....
Turned NoRoot firewall off (PlayStore was allowed internet access already) and voila, it started downloading updates

I'll just have to remember to turn off VPN if I want to download from PlayStore in fututre. No idea why this is suddenly a problem, i've been using it for years!

I saw this problem before the upgrade, it just wasn't everyday.

UPDATE: Turning off "Safe Browsing" in Lookout App did the trick.

Lookout is aware of the problem and working on a fix.

UPDATE: Turning off "Safe Browsing" in Lookout App did the trick.
