Is there a way to download streaming media (youtube, etc) on the EVO? I just came from the Pre and there was a patch to download streaming media to the phone to watch it later. Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are a few you tube downloaders in the market. If you are wanting to download content from websites, there is a option in astro to enable browser downloads,... Open astro, menu, more, preferences, scroll down check enable browser downloads. I have not been able to download flash content, but it works for everything else I tried..... dunno about the facebook thing...

i use TubeMate app (free) to download youtube videos. does it in different qualitites/formats, too (HQ, mpeg4, 3gp--whichever you choose

after downloading like 6 videos, it's surprising how very little of space it actually takes up on the SD card.

Note that downloading YouTube videos is illegal according to the YouTube TOS.

Probably shouldn't be discussing download options here.

Yes, you can do it. Here is my solution, you can take it as a reference. I use a video downloader to record streaming video and audio from websites and then convert the downloaded files to EVO. Is that clear? PM me if you have any questions.
