Is there a way to download apps straight to your sd card? If not can you manually move them with your phone connected to a computer from your phones memory to the sd card? New to the android os. Thanks

You have more storage space than you will need with this phone,so you shouldn't meed to use the card.

Yes but when you go to settings and into your SD card & phone storage tab which separate the SD card memory (16GB), internal phone storage (onboard 8GB) and phone memory which only has 748MB of total space I'm wondering if downloading apps impact the 748MB? My concern is coming from the BB storm which despite having a separate SD card; my application memory was very small and the more apps I had (which impacted this small number) the slower my phone got which was very noticeable.

i guess I am not sure what the phone memory means and if it is referring to ram which will be impacted from apps.

don't worry about it, android isn't a blackberry. go ahead and un-learn all of your OCDs from the storm.

android has it's own task killer, so as tasks and processes are left idle, unless you choose otherwise, it'll auto-kill them. you can go in and white list things if you don't want the system to kill it. so for now, don't trip
