I really want Tmobile's advanced messaging feature back.

I downloaded Frija (to download the firmware images)

My assumption is that since I have model number SM-G988U1 and want to flash tmobile's firmware I need to use SM-G988U with CSC as TMB to download the correct firmware.

Is this correct?

Thank you

Why don't you just use Google Messages' RCS? It's even better in terms of media limits...

You would need to flash
Bl
Ap
Cp
CSC

All 4 files
I dont know where Frija is

But can use samfirm v0.4.1 to download firmware and then extract

Thanks for the replies

Is there any particular version of odin i should be using? I downloaded the latest which I think is v3.14.4..

As for Frija it's the same as SamFirm,

Also for using google messages, I'm already used to using samsung stock messages and well, change is hard. Oh and most of my friends and family are on tmobile as well that use stock samsung messages app.

In order to use Google messages rcs doesn't the other person have to use Google messages as well?
I believe any RCS enabled chat application should be fine. Or atleast that's the goal of RCS.
Yes you need another person with Google rcs , and no my s10+ is on tmobile firmware with tmobile enable RCS and my Note 10+ on Google RCS no chat just regular sms message

That sucks then what's the point of RCS? Wasn't that the original goal or it's the crappy carriers again messing up with implementation?

It's not global yet , and carrier have their own version

The Google messages rcs function is still pretty recent. I can see it really catching on a little later this year. If only rcs could work with any android messaging app. Know that's a eet dream.
Carrier have their own version, not a good sign. Hopefully it doesn't become another big mess, let's see.
