downloading problem

Hello everyone, can someone please help me? I have had my note 10.1 for about 6 months and I absolutely love it. The only problem is that today for some reason my tablet has stopped downloading files. Normally when I would download a file a small icon would appear saying "starting download" then in my notifications it would appear. Now for some unknown reason the"starting downloading" icon appears but that's it nothing else happens! I have tried clearing all my cache and restating my tablet but I'm still having the problem. If anybody know how to fix this issue iwould greatly appreciate your help. BTW I still have 10gb of memory left.
