"Downloading Software Update" - huh? I didn't allow that!

My phone just started downloading a software update apparently and I NEVER update until I absolutely have to because I want to know whether or not it's ok first.. I just wiped my phone and cache and updated the OS last night - what is it downloading now?? Is this related to the last update?

I have had A LOT of coffee today so if it sounds like I'm panicking, well - that's mostly the caffeine... ok maybe not mostly because I kind of am panicking..lol.. Put my phone into airplane mode to stop it.

Anybody know what this is?

OH. Huh. So apparently when I did all the updating last night I only updated to 4.3 ... I guess it is now trying to update to 4.4? But still... I didn't tell it to do that, why would it do it on its own? I can't figure out where the setting would be to turn that off. I'm not in a wifi area so I don't want to use my data.

Sometimes, after enough declining of the update, it will automatically do so.

I'm going to take a wild quess and say you had previously updated to 4.4.2 and it was just taking you back to it.
