Downloads automatically downloading

My friend just activated his new incredible 2 and all his appearance started downloading. Mine didn't do that.

Anyone have that happen?

Did he sync to his gmail account or use the verizon backup tool on the previous unit.

verizon backup is contacts and yes he signed in with his gmail account. as did i.

he flashed a desire z rom that had sense.com and backed up his stuff. but this phone doesn't have sense.com

Mine started downloading all the programs I had on my other droid once I opened the Market on my new Dinc2. It worked as if I were using AppBrain - but hadn't yet installed AppBrain on the phone.
