Downloads fail when downloading photos from app on Pixel 4XL.

I am using a Pixel 4xl. Until yesterday I was able to download pictures from an app called TheCHIVE. Now whenever I try to download a picture I get a message download failed.

I cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, nothing worked.

Check that app has permission on for storage?

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with mustang7757 -- go to Settings>Apps, select the app, then Permissions, then make sure Storage is turned on.


If it already is, then does this happen with any image, or only certain ones?

Reviewed previous responses, app has permissions for storage still getting download failed message., Happens with all images from the app. If I download from web browser it works

Do other apps (apart from the browser) also work fine in terms of downloading images? If so, it might be a bug with the app itself -- send feedback to the developer.

Welcome to the forums. I've searched that app in the Play Store and most reviews are very negative reporting lots of different bugs, including constant crashes. I'm afraid there's not much you can do to fix your problems, it seems to be a very bad app.
