Downloads

This may be a dumb question but I couldn't find anything when I googled. My S4 had a download icon in the app drawer but I can't find it on my note 3. Am I missing something?

According to the manual (http://support.t-mobile.com/servlet.../SM-N900T_UM_English_PS_MI7_092413_F4_Web.pdf) on page 160, tap Apps/Samsung folder. The Downloads shortcut should be there.

I have it in mine. Check in your setting under apps. Maybe the app was turned off by accident.

Wasn't there. I found it under the pre made tools folder. Thanks for your help. I can't believe I didn't think to look in the folders until you mentioned that.

Was also having trouble with not being able to open downloaded pdf and word files. I figured out to use Polaris to open them but seams silly if that's built in the phone don't automatically open the file for you. And if you got more than one doc viewer it should ask which app you want to complete the action using like it does with so many other actions.

There might have been an app that was set as the default app to open PDFs. Right now, if you try to open a PDF, which app opens it by default? Find that app in your App Manager, then tap Clear Defaults. The next time you try to open a PDF, it should give you the option of which app to use--that dialog box will also give you the option of making that app the default.
