This is really bizarre, and is leading to excessive battery drain, even to the point of going from 100% at 11 PM to 14% at 6 AM. Looking at last night's battery stats, the phone woke up at some point and the battery just dumped power.

I'm on a Nexus 6P with 7.1.1 on the March security update. During this time I'm asleep so there's no reason for the phone to wake up since I'm not touching it.

I should note that I did a cache partition wipe yesterday morning.

Does it have that push update function where google pushes updates bypassing network provider? That may explain the system being so busy at the end there...?

@Tim1954 do you mean the Carrier Services thing? Yes, I have it installed. I'm on Project Fi, not sure if removing that would have a negative impact...

However, why would it only do it then rather than earlier in the night? Also, I went much of the day at work without any unusual battery drain.
