Drafts saved accidentally in messaging app

I have searched but can't seem to find anyone discussing this annoying thing. At least half the time when I leave a message thread by pressing the back button my thumb hits the period key or the new paragraph key and causes a draft to be created. I then have to go back and press the delete key until the draft disappears. If anybody has a suggestion. By the way, I'm using Swiftkey.

Maybe longpressing the message will bring up an option to delete that particular message.

Lol. Yea I have this problem too. I hate going into my msg center and seeing that red Draft on like six threads.
