Drag to unlock in game autolock leaves phone unlocked and vulnerable

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10e and S9 and both are now on Android 10. Every since an update, first my S10e and now more recently on my S9, my phone now does not lock if I leave it open while in a game. I have the autolock in Game Booster turned on but the "autolock" only provides a drag to unlock screen that doesn't protect my phone. Most people what to disable autolock, but I want to keep the security in place if I leave it in game mode and lay my phone and inadvertantly forget to turn off the screen.
