Dre beats with note 3

Hi,

I received the dre beats solo HD for my birthday and I am trading in my iphone for this wonderful Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

I have read time and time again that all the controls on my beats are made for my iphone and not my new Note 3.

I am aware that there are apps on the Google Play store that can help me out but I would like to know what replacement auxiliary cord I could buy that would allow me to take calls on my Note 3 with my beats and use the volume controls?

An eBay link would be awesome if you have used the beats with another Galaxy series phone.

If this is in the wrong section please move it.

Excited to hear back and am willing to pick another cable to make my Note 3 work with these great headphones.

Welcome to the forums!
I am not really sure what to suggest. If the jack doesn't work, you can try an adapter of some sort, but I am not sure if that would make much of a difference.

This looks really good, but it will not let me use the volume buttons still correct? This will just help the sound quality? Can I just swap the beats cord for a cord that is universal and has toggles that will work with any android device.

Right now the middle button on the beats stops and pauses songs, but the volume button on the control talk doesn't work and I haven't tried out the mic on the control talk yet. Continue with the suggestions.


And if the last poster could explain that adapter that would be awesome

I can only speak for the N2, but the middle button and mic are the only things that will work. I downloaded an app called "Headset Control" which let's you program functions on the phone based on the middle button clicks. (i.e. Single click play/pause, double click next track, triple click restart track/previous track, quadruple click adjust the volume)

I was already familiar with the single, double, triple clicks because that how apple device worked.

Thanks TheMaskedMamba. Question for you my friend. Does the middle button still end call/answer call because that is an awesome feature with my current iphone and I would really like to use it when I get the note 3 in a few weeks.

Yes it does, that function works with or without the app I mentioned above
