well as x has been released and droid 2 just around the corner and some mentions of a mystical device called droid pro.

it just got me thinking to what would be the the next evolution of the droid since Motorola sold ?

are we going to see the last droid with the droid 2?:o

funny
rumors are abound on a 2 gig device that will be able to truly do multi tasking as to run two separate screens

as when a device comes out it's already behind the 8 ball
with droid 1 not even being a year old and it's gone

to bad we have 1 and 2 yr contracts

Nothing is wrong with our d1's. They are rock solid. I can still get most of the porn I want from it just like I should be able to from the Droid XXX.

Definitely not. The Droid 2 isn't anywhere near the end of the line with LTE, faster processors and multiple cores around the corner. I'm sure there's plenty more that I can't think of off the top of my head.

The Last Droid will either be after Google stops developing Android or Verizon's licensing agreement with LucasArts expires.

As it stands the is the closest they have come to a true Flagship line. In a little bit and its getting close any time someone thinks of an Android phone they are going to think Verizon. The Droid X at its current rate will probably become their most successful phone. There is the Fascinate coming out soon. If your asking because you don't know how they could better it, trust me Technology finds away. HTC will keep coming out with a variety of phones in every shape and size, and at minimum even if Motorola ends up sitting on a few form factors, there is still future OS releases, more memory, faster CPU's, 1080P, more cloud integration, LTE, and a billion other small features that we haven't even thought of on the horizon.

I'm wondering if they'll ever make a pull-out type screen that will extend the visible viewing screen. Or make a slider droid that when open the new slide out portion is all screen and it extends the screen to double its size.

When the figure out the battery drain issues (solar built in?) that would be cool to have a 4.3" x 2 screen size... no?

How about a built-in projector? Be great for meetings, or even for someone who wants to share the porn:D

how about a phone with physical numbers and an LCD screen on the outside that flips open like a DS and the entire inside is a 5" touch screen?

Holy friggin crap, that ain't a phone that's a tablet!!!

But in all honesty this is an android device that I'd KILL for:

-sporting 4" 1280x720 AMOLED screen (a guy can dream, can't he?)
-slide-out qwerty keyboard similar the HTC Touch Pro 2
-dual-core TI omap processor that's at least 1.3GHz
-HD camera w/ dual flash and autofocus that can shoot at least 5MP and can record 720p/60fps with a censor that can handle it
-3 microphones (noise cancellation, regular mic, and rear facing mic for video recording)
-a front facing 1-2Mp camera
-CDMA/GSM world phone
-1 GB of Ram
-8GB of storage space
-Dual MicroSD card slots that hold up to 32GB
-Micro or Mini HDMI port
-Running stock Android 3.0 (Gingerbread)
-All powered by a battery that's at least 1750 mAh!

Now tell me right now that you wouldn't do just about anything for this phone!
