if you have a driod x to me launch pro is a must without it the phone is slow as hell

I wouldn't say the phone itself is slow however I do agree that Launcher Pro speeds up launching the app drawer as well as scrolling within it. I love Launcher Pro.

One of your downloaded apps may be slowing your X because, on a normal basis, it's pretty quick. I've had Launcher Pro+ on and off my X and there isn't a significant difference. LP+ is prettier with more options to customize, but speed-wise, seems about the same.

it's not necessarily a faster launcher, but it does feel smoother. i've been using it on my X ever since they allowed you to use the re-sizable moto widgets. it's a great app.

no the x is slow out the box with the stock apps it was slower then the driod inc i gave my wife with was loaded with apps

I think the default launcher is just poorly coded. The actual default launcher provided by google is far smoother. I actually hate all this blur crap.

Wayne is right, grab a Droid X out of the box and turn it on. Scroll around the default homescreens and app drawer and it is choppy and stuttery to the touch. Not to mention it looks horrendous.

Launcher Pro really does make a significant difference. Unless you've never played a videogame before and have no experience with high framerates (movies/tv are at 24/30 frames per second respectively, games play at 60 and higher) then you won't notice or feel the lag in Blur, but take it from an avid PC gamer of many years, it is indeed slower than molasses.

moto should leave the stock launcher alone and just give us the widgets to use if we want...
