Hi Guys,

My bionic seems to run a bit hot. I had a droid x before and I didnt notice the device feeling as warm as this one to the touch. Granted, I am working the battery and processor by doing alot of streaming of radio and stuff.

Anyone else notice the same thing?

all electronics are going to warm up if you stress them. charging/discharging a battery can create some warmth. I SERIOUSLY doubt there is ANYTHING wrong with your device.

When I use my 4G radio a lot, mine heats up. I don't mind it, it just feels weird if I put it back in my pocket to have a flat screen that's hot sitting against my leg. No harm done, it doesn't heat up too much, just a little warm, and since 4G is so fast I barely even have to use it long, so it doesn't end up heating up much anyways. You're not the only one, the phone is going to get hot, don't worry about it.

Yesterday when I was using GPS while plugged in I noticed that once I got out of my car and unplugged it back was noticeably hotter than normal. Depends on usage.

I am having the same issue. I see everyone is saying this is normal but mine is really HOT. I am waiting for it to overheat and shut down. Some time has past since you posted this. How has it been working for you?

Mine has begun to overheat when using the GPS/Nav functions and in the car cradle to the point of becoming too hot to handle. Its rebooted on it's own twice now.

Guess a refurb is in my future.

this is going to sound wierd, but my bionic used to get hot and i realized that if i removed the incipio case and let it go naked, the phone never got that hot again. i know it will heat up a bit depending on which apps are running, but that case seemed to seal in the heat and cause the overheating.

I've got the HTC Thunderbolt and I have the issue that it heats up then reatarts about once a week. I use my 4g while listinging to Pandora, Google Navigate, internet and usually some Facebook messages and its a weekly occourance.
I've had 6 factory referbs and all of them have the same problem. I've noticed that when my CPU stays above 50-60% for about an hour my phone is over 100 degrees according to testing.

I would suggest to take it easier on your phone and actually close the apps you don't need running.
Hope this helps:)
