I have tried several times to root my droid bionic. When I use Peter Souzas tool, it get all the way to the end and says "ERROR: we have root, but couldn't push su". I then tried the other tool called 1 click exploit. That tells me there is an error with "daemon and adb". Could someone please tell me what I have to do next. If I have to go to the command prompt, could someone please give exact directions form there. I have been at this all day.
Note: I have tried the temporary root from p Souza and it says its worked, only to find out after I reboot, the phone isn't rooted.

Re: Droid Bionic with 5.5.893

I have the same situation and from what I have been able to figure out and what one the most helpful folks here, 2defmouze, you can't directly root the 5.5.893.
According to 2defmouze ... "However, you can use the method in this thread: [http://forums.androidcentral.com/bi...uide-how-receive-otas-again-if-you-leak.html] How To Receive OTAs Again If You Are On A Leak
.. To restore your phone to complete stock 5.5.866 system, radios, kernel, etc... The method will also root it, and apply foreverroot changes, at which point you will download the OTA again and you will have the update with root. This method is more complicated but I was able to get it done on my first try by following the directions written in the OP carefully. It will also wipe your phone this way, but that's something you might have to deal with (it will not wipe your sd card)."

Thanks to 2defmouze for the help.
