Droid e-mail

I get at least 3 e-mails a week, and sometimes as many as 9 at one time, all with the date as follows: "7/3/1969 7:00pm". If I do nothing, they usually disappear after a day or so, and if I attempt to reply, I get the message that there is no "to" address. Verizon has absolutely no idea what to do with these: I've talked to our local techs and to the Verizon on-line techs. They don't seem to cause any problems, they're just starting to get irritating. They seem to have started with the last upgrade. Any ideas how to stop these?

Are these in your gmail account? What client?

This doesn't really sound like a phone or network issue, more an issue with your email setup.. if you log in from a computer, are they there?

They are in my at&t pop3 account. They don't show up in my mail on the computer, just on the Droid, and they aren't in my Gmail. Don't know if it's related, but when I check the trash bin on the Droid, I end up with 3 or 4 emails listed, but clearing the trash doesn't eliminate them and they can't be opened.
