For some reason with my phone recently I have been having huge GPS issues. Right now for example it says im north of Minneapolis, MN when I'm really in Iowa. At first it would only do it when on wifi and in my apartment. Now it doesnt seem to really matter. If im in a building it will do this and even when im driving. Ideas? Help?

Im not rooted and running 2.2

I had this same problem when I drove to North Carolina from New York in the spring and I'm not really sure what caused it. I turned off the wifi, turned on the gps, and did a battery pull and when I turned it back on it worked fine. I don't know if that will work for you but it cleared up my problem. Note I was running unrooted 2.1 at the time

ive done all of that and still no help. i did use the GPS quite a bit to get to my mountain bike races, is it possible i just broke it?

I had issues with my GPS earlier this summer. It seemed to correct itself after a couple of power cycles. I ran the GPS test app and it was only seeing a couple of satellites.

The cure does not seem like any thing I did.

Are you sure you have a GPS fix? Is the GPS icon in the notification bar solid or flashing? It sounds to me like it's not using the GPS receiver. If the receiver has a fix the icon in the notification bar will be solid. If it's flashing you'll need to sort out why that's the case (try *228 and reactivate).

Don't test GPS indoors. You need line of sight to the GPS satellites. Granted, in some cases, GPS will work indoors but don't count on it.
