Droid Incredible hard reset

I came from the BB Storm and it was customary to do a hard reset by pulling the battery. Is this something that should be performed on the Droid Incredible every so often.

no, just turn it off\on (Power button long hold)

Thats what I thought. Much better than pulling the battery.
