Droid Incredible Pre-Order at Best Buy Starts Sunday, 4.18.10

my BB here in Cola, SC that I preordered from said they would get them in most likely on the 28th but would call and set up a time on Thursday to pick up and help set up the phone. I really don't need the help as I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to tech stuff but I just want the phone at this point.

EDIT: So I just checked the Best Buy online ad and they had the Incredible in their Mobile Buyers Guide but list the phone as available in May....interesting.

I think the Mobile Buyers Guide shows May because its soo close to May. I remember seeing screen shots where the Incredible would be in stores today. We can only be so lucky as to have someone call and say you can come pick it up now.

Yeah that's what I was hoping for today but never got a call.

hmmm, thats an interesting idea. I may do that so i dont have to extend my contract and save my upgrade... or remember that trick if another phone comes out in the next 2 years I wont be all bummed out that my upgrade isnt up yet lol

yea I went into BestBuy today and the uninterested mobile sales associate had no idea when they were getting the Incredible in. I also asked about accessories, and she said "accessories for new phones don't come out for like 3 months after the phone is released". Hopefully I didn't make a mistake preordering at this location lol

Does anyone know if when you buy a phone from Best Buy if you can get the Asurion insurance on the phone through Verizon rather than using Best Buy's insurance plan?

you should be able to as long as you get the insurance within 15 days of buying the phone. it is still a verizon phone whether or not you bought it at the verizon store

Thanks for the response. I actually called VZW customer service and confirmed this. (although they made no mention of a fifteen day period)

i just called my local best buy here in TN, and the guy on the phone said April 28th. i asked him to double check in their system and he looked it up..."yep april 28th". i'm wondering though if that is the day they will be getting them in at my particular store, but not selling till the 29th? i guess ill go check on my lunch break on wednesday!

What part of TN are you in? I went to the BB over in Cordova/Memphis, TN to try to preorder a few days ago, and they said they ran out of preorder slips, and for me to just come by on the 29th first thing in the morning to buy one.

I was hoping they would call and let me pick mine up early but the woman at the BB close to me said the 29th and by the looks of it its the same story all over.

yea, im gonna guess that the sales computer wont let them sell it. Even if you found an employee to ring you up for it, the computer stops the sale, or puts a price of 999.999 on it to prevent early sale. I dont work there, but have read something similar on this forum before. Just gotta wait it out, ill have FIFA World Cup 2010 for xbox360 to pass the 2 days until its Incredible time.
