Yeas something is going on, they are trying to sell then for the holidays. I'm glad my birthday is in December I get holiday prices for whatever I want. Plus, Christmas.

They might not do that because it's best buys sale and not Verizons. I don't think they do price matching.

The Moto X is not better than the Maxx regardless of Moto maker and 32GB. The Droid Maxx has the best in class battery life, and Moto X still just makes it day. While it's nothing to sneeze at, it still pales in comparison to the two day or more battery life of the Droid Maxx.

The price does show $99 at a point in the middle of the process, but it ends up back at $199 when you are about to finish the purchase. At least, this is what it does for me.

The MAXX also has 32gb. The only thing that would make the Moto X better than the MAXX is if someone just likes the form factor or colors better. The MAXX has some better features, and is tied on everything else.

The saleslady at the Verizon told me the Maxx only had 16gb and then said do you still want it. I told her I thought it had 32gb and she said no. I said I wanted it anyways. I'm glad she was wrong.
