Droid MaXX Unresponsive

While an app was loading, the screen became frozen, so I pressed the power button. Now I am unable to bring the screen back on. I tried preforming a soft reset by pressing power + volume down, but nothing happened, not even a little light. Any help would be appreciated! PS it was at 40% battery

Try long pressing power for about 10 seconds. That's the equivalent of a battery pull on a Droid Maxx. (Basically hold the button until you see the Moto logo. You may want to plug in first, in case the battery is also dead. Even though it was at 40, it may have drained since then. )
