Droid Razr 'freeze'

For lack of a better word, my phone seems to freeze on a screen. No response to the touch, or the power button. I've tried to hold the power button down to reset it, but that didn't work. Should I just let the battery die and reboot itself that way? Thanks for any advice!

Power + Vol. Down force reboots it if I remember correctly.

Mine too. It's started about a week ago. Apps open slowly and freeze up. Some freeze and crash. Hard reset is a band aid. What is causing this?
