Hello,

I have a dumb question: there is an orange circle symbol that looks like a clock at 9:00 next to one of my contacts. What does this symbol represent? Sorry if this has been covered but I couldn't find anything.

If it's what I'm thinking, thats the Google chat idle icon. Green is fully available, Orange is idle/away, and gray or nothing is not signed on.

That person is a Google Chat friend, right?

Thanks for the info. Interesting. Makes sense, as the symbol does not always show up. Right now there's a green dot next to her name....apparently she's online? She's definitely a Google contact, though I don't know if she has set up Chat or not (I don't even remember if it's something you need to set up or not).
