So today while chasing my wild dog down, the droid took a spill. Unfortunatly on a hard slab of stone face down. I was devistated! :( miraculously only a tiny tiny scratch on screen, however the edges of the screen are a bit tore up.

Is there any sort of touch up paint or coating one could use to get back the beautiful black lining I once had????

I want my droid to look beautiful once again! Please help this very sad droid owner :(

I will not suggest taking it back to verizon and saying that it has been freezing when using navigation. I will not suggest doing that over trying to touch it up. That will not get you a replacement droid.;)

You do have a one year manufacturers warranty, if something miraculously went wrong with the phone (i.e. connection problems, dropping calls, not sending texts, etc.) I would call Verizon tech support on the phone instead of going to a store though, if any of those issues were to arise, that is.

Yes. It's a Verizon phone and Verizon customer service will take care of you regardless.

Best response to this sort of thing yet :D

I would go with the freezing up with navigation. If you somehow get a smart vzw employee he could pull the "navigation is in beta" card. But yeah I did the same thing when i sold my bb storm turned it in and got a new one but that phone was loaded with bugs so it was pretty easy. Honestly if you can't get a new one cover the scratches with a case.:p

I would lean more towards the calling big red before taking it into a store. The phone reps are much easier to persuade to send you new device. I learned this while I was dealing with my storm and storm2. Just lie on the phone then poof, new shiny device in the mail just days later. Or if you have insurance you could always chalk up the 50 bucks for a new one.

The freezing during navigation is something that they cant duplicate. The reps will try to duplicate anything else. Yet at someone stated, you might be better of having them send you one and calling it in.

yea the "duplicate your issue" thing really drove me nuts with my storm2. My bottom keys would work on occasion but yet every time i took it to the store they magically worked and they never helped me out at all. Then I called and complained, and switched to a Droooid.

If you have the best buy warranty then you can say "hey, dropped my phone and I need a new one." I am pretty sure it covers everything except lost.

thing that sucks with best buys is that they have to try to fix it first, during that time they give you a "replacement phone", if they can't fix it, then (and only then) will they replace it.

probably easier to get a replacement from best buy, but it will take way longer. verizon can get you a brand new phone in a day or two.

800-922-0204- its their direct customer service number, just tell them you're having whatever issues you decide to use, and they'll transfer you to tech support.

Just got off the phone with them about 2 hours ago- my new Droid will be here on Wednesday, replacing my one with connectivity issues.

I would say I am getting random reboots and that I already uninstalled apps but that did not help. Say you went as far as factory resetting but you still get them.

ok, so random reboots no explanation, im calling monday. please people fill other details if anyone has ideas

I recently dropped my Droid and chipped it. I tried taking it to Verizon for a replacement. What I complained about was actually true; my phone has been spontaneously freezing, and the only way to turn the phone back on was by a battery pull. But that has only happened 3x. The Verizon rep said if it becomes a big problem, the way they deal w/ it is by having the phone uninstall all apps to make sure its not an app causing it. So no replacement Droid for me yet =(.

Wow. Really? So you broke it, and 15 people suggest that the best route isn't taking responsibility for your actions, but to lie to get a free one. <shakes head...leaves thread>
