Droid Turbo: Are you going to try to walk into a store and see if a rep will sell you one early?

It's been my experience that the reps don't know as much about the phones as we do; however, that just might be a regional thing. It's very tempting to try to see if a less knowledgeable sales rep might sell a Turbo before the actual release date. Anyone going to try this? Let us know how your attempt goes.

Yes. I'm going to go before class tonight to try to pick one up. If not, I'll try again before work tomorrow haha. My usual store is pretty lax with policies so maybe I can get it.

I tried this with the original DROID back in the day. We got one in for work ahead of release. We took it to a Verizon store and showed them, "hey can I buy another one?"

They only let me buy accessories.

Yeah I figured they wouldn't give me one. It's in the system as a no sale until the 30th. I'm going to try again tomorrow anyway, but I'm doubtful on it. They did offer up the accessories like you said though which I think was kind of strange, but meh. They didn't have anything on display, but they offered to let me take a look at the cases and screen protectors.

My local dealers have no idea when they'll have them in store or, whether or not they'll stock all versions. Standard comments were "we can order it for you" to which I replied, "thanks, but I can do that myself".
