Droid VS Eris

I really like the specs of the droid , but hate the keyboard and gold.

Love the sense UI of the htc and the no slider option....

Would it be possible to put the sense UI on the droid ? is there a rom for that or will there be ?

also i know this sounds like a stupid reason to like a phone , but i really like how the weather become apart of the screen on sense UI , is it possible to carry that over ?

Sooks are you the same one from over at crackberry... I believe once we can root we will be able to move the rom over. My guess it wont happen though till sense is ready for 2.0.... but per online stories on bgr and engadget that should be quick.

Yeah i hope so man, i am really excited for the droid and if sense can go on it i will be in love , and im sure its possible man , i mean hell its open source ! LOL

Hey sooks long time no talk to. So your are jumping ship too or have you already done that like me? Well either way I am hoping we can get the sense rom over to the droid. It should be possible. I know damn well if you can do it on windows mobile then you should be able to do it on android. I had the samsung omnia running touch flo 3d which is htc's. Ready to see it happen on android.

You never stop following me do you? lol. Both of us goin crazy for the Storm on CB and now the Droid here at AC...good thing the Droid by all accounts thus far won't let us down LOL

I'm keeping storm too though, Droid will be main device as of now and the Storm will be backup...likely only used for when I do something where phone could get damaged.

Oh, and just to stay on-topic, I'm hoping to get Sense UI soon as well

By the way whats up man!!!!!! Nice not to be the only one that got tired of the Blackberry restrictions. Great devices but just not intuitive enough for me. And the Rachael UI or the Sense UI would be great. When the devices that run those UI get 2.0 I bet it will not be long before there is a ROM released for the Droid that will overlay them onto our device. It's all a matter of time. Can friday not come any slower????????????

agreed ! , bb is falling behind for now , and wont catch up tell 2010 when their widgets and web kit browser is launched , but once that happends up on the droids will be on to bigger and better things... got to love open source.

I wonder what the battery life will be like on the eris. I've read that the battery life is not great on the eris when you enable the features that make it so cool. However, it seems like the battery life on the droid will be excellent. That is a big issue for me about the eris. It was one of the main reasons why I got rid of the pre so quickly. It was a cool phone at first, but I couldn't stand having to limit my use of the phone or having to charge it all the time.
