Droid vs Nexus1 (htc incredible in this case)

I was hoping to have a device that can do all the smart phone stuff

Well, the Palm Pre Plus (verizon) can do all the smart phone stuff, and 3d gaming.

Although both the Android root community(droid) and homebrew community(palm) are fantastic!!

I think they are better then some of the payed devs!!

The Palm pre plus was actually my first choice, but there are some problems.

First being none of the verizon stores around me have it.
Second the company is out of business and is being bought by HTC.
Likely WebOS is going to be dead, and other than the homebrew community there won't be any new apps and games coming to the device sadly.

Really seems like the droid is the best choice for me. Keep posting your thoughts though.

Also any good droid cases (and screen protectors) out there?

"Also any good droid cases (and screen protectors) out there? "

I have never used a screen protector for my Droid, so can't really comment about that.

I however have a Verizon OEM case with a belt clip, that I bought when I first got the phone. It's pretty good and sturdy, but two gripes I have are:
1) It has a smaller cutout for the speaker and therefore in my opinion muffling out the speaker output.
2) The case maybe weakening out the phone's signal. My wife's Eris always had better signal than my Droid and when I checked in a Verizon Store, a Droid on display there had close to 10 Dbm' better signal strength than mine. Although while academic, Verizon tech support told me the hard case could be the problem.

So if you are going for a case, I've read on these forums that the Seidio Innocase is good for the Droid, I've personally never seen or used one though.

Good luck.

Well I was just over at palm central, and it looks like they are not out of business yet.

"Harbinger Capital Partners buys a 9.48% "passive stake" in Palm"

They are also selling in Europe.

Even if they do get bought out, no one will get rid or WebOS, is to good an OS.

Android phones are very nice, I like how they do home screens, I also like the card system multitasking of WebOS. Its nice when you have options!! ::smile::
