ok time to upgrade our froyo a new leak is out. get before motorola wakes up. thanks to mydroidworld for being the master leakers.. this for rooted phones only

i think for 2.1 to 2.2 you will need to wipe. just move SU from bin to xbin simplest way is via root explorer ...just read p3 has is rom ready to go... so im going to wait for his magic.

I just tried to go from my 2.1 to the new leak, and I had to sbf. I wouldn't do it unless you already have 2.2

alright i managed to get a 2.2 nandroid of the new froyo with root. Install by putting in your backup folder under clockworkmod and doing an advanced restore of only system. this is fresh the only app i downloaded was mybackup and no data restored

Whats diff in this version than the other leaked ota? Ive not had a single issue with the other leaked ota..droidx works perfectly.

FWIW, if anyone cares, I rolled back to my previous Nandroid backup FlyX with as much blur and bloat removed as I possibly could. I was happy with it and had no reason really to load another version of froyo. I tried it and there were NO noticeable differences for me so I just rolled back.

YEah wait, lost root (had SU in XBIN!) Going back to 2.1 and starting over............AGAIN.
