This is my only complaint. After upgrading to froyo i CANNOT use the dx kb. This has been my favorite kb by far since it got ported over.

Has anyone else had this prob? More importantly is there a fix for this?
TIA

I have read that you can uninstall and then reinstall if you still have the .apk. That seems to be a universal fix for programs that are broken after the update.

That didn't work for me. I really like that keyboard I duress I'll go back to swype.

did swype work for you? I'm having the same problem and it says that my swype keyboard was meant for another device and that i only have limited functionality. meaning i can press the keys but can't swype.

UPDATE: Spoke too soon, I uninstalled it and ran the swype installer again and it is now working fine.

UPDATE: i tried to reinstall the droid x keyboard and it didnt work... at least froyo is coming to the droid x soon soo we can update it again...

I sure hope they at least re-release the kb once the x gets froyo. I started to and now have forgotten about swype since the multi touch came out

was just going to post about this. as soon as i updated to 2.2 i immediately got fc's for the DX keyboard. so i uninstalled it. reinstalled and same thing. i really liked it. hope it gets updated.

I've heard it's being worked on. In the mean time, the stock keyboard is now multi-touch in 2.2 ;)

well thats good to know. i will prob still go to the X one when its updated, for no other reason than i hate having to go to another screen to put a comma in a sentence on the stock droid one. the double-tap feature on the X one is what sold me.

Can you explain what you think multi-touch is?

My understanding of multi-touch is the ability to recognize multiple, simultaneous touch locations, such as pressing/holding shift and pressing a letter at the same time to for capitalization. This feature works in the stock HTC keyboard with 2.2 (though I am running the .3 leak from last week. Maybe it was removed from .6, if that is what you are running?).
