Droid X Photo question

I cant seem to assign a photo(s) to a contact. I transferred from my computer, the photo is there, I see it. Go to contact, edit, add photo, select photo from file, save...nothing....! WTF !

That's how I do it and it works fine. Maybe somethings gotten in a funky state...try a battery pull.

Edit...You do have to save the photo twice. Once when you set the crop after picking the photo to use, then again when it throws you back to the actual contact's screen. You could also try assigning it from the gallery. Pull up the picture>menu>more>set as>contacts.

If that doesn't work try:
Go into gallery and long hold the pic for options then pick "set as"contacts...pick a contact....move the sqaure box over the face and then save.. To remove the pic..touch the contact..hit menu(hard key) press edit.. long hold pic and select remove..then save

Your phone cant see the SD card (where the photo is) if your still plugged into the computer....
