My Droid X is not syncing email after the update to 2.2. I have the data set to "push" email to my phone, but nothing shows up until I pull up the email account and manually refresh. This happens with both my corporate and Yahoo accounts. I've also tried setting it to get email every 15 minutes and that doesn't work either. Anyone else having this issue? Any fixes out there?

I was having a problem with messages I sent being stuck in the outbox and never getting sent then out of nowhere they go thru. I deleted my email account and re added it and it seems to be working. plus I cleared the cache for another problem so maybe that helped too. Ill know tomorrow if it worked.

Was on the phone with Verizon for 3 hours last night and never got my email working. They suggested I use K-9 in the market. I'm tweaking the settings on K-9 but have not figured out how to have emails pop in with out manually checking. What a joke imho.

I am curious. Try this

On one of your screens put the power widget on it. See if the sync icon is green. That's the one with the arrows chasing each other.

I am betting it is not. If it is not, turn it on and see if that fixes your issue.

Im having the syncing problem as well. My sync power icon has always been green.

I'm having this problem on my corporate email as well - although about half the time it comes as correctly and the other half and I have to open the account. I have my settings the same as above. Have tried deleting and adding the account twice. I did the wipe that is pinned to the top of the main page as well. I'm about to go to Touchdown, although that just pisses me off that the stock email won't work.

Im curious, did you install the asurion recovery software? I did and my email stopped working. I uninstalled it and it started working again... but then again, i have to reboot my phone 3-4 times a day so maybe that fixes it when it stops.

My pop email pretty much stopped sending and updating. Had to go to k9 to get mail. Don't really like it. Way to much when I only want basic email functions. Anyone have any better pop email apps?

mine likes to work for a few hours, then i get nothing, then ill get like 5-9 emails all at once.
Realllly thinking about getting a BB as a work phone. their push is so awesome, and a Real keyboard would be nice for those long work emails, where you cant see what your typing because the keyboard has to eat up 2/3 of the screen

I had the same issue after I did the froyo update. I use exchange 2010. I removed the option to backup my data and did a factory reset. Its been working for about 3 to 4 weeks now.

I had to et everything back up but at least my email is working.

I'm not buying exchange. Still can't recieve email from home using K-9. If I turn off my home pc then email comes to phone. Using Outlook 2007 on home pc and in settings the leave on server is checked. Any other idea's? Verision say's it is my home internet provider problem and vise versa.....what a joke.

So it's a pop3 account, desktop running outlook 2007, and the Email account on the droid x 2.2 will not receive email?

1. I'd do a factory reset.
2. I would never use a 3rd party app for email. It should be native to the phone.
3. Exchange (or even Google Apps) is worth the money for OTA email, calendar and contacts sync.

Ive tried something and it may have worked.

I don't want to do a factory reset so I tried to find something that was like a factory reset but for email only.

Go to settings/applications/manage apps then click the all tab. Go down to email engine and open it. Then clear the data. Make sure it resets to 0. It took me two pushes to vet it to that. I also cleared data under the email app as well bit doing it to email engine pretty much reset email to all the default settings.

So far its working but I wont say it works until after a day or two. Was hoping more people would try it out.

Did factory reset with Verizon the other night (took 3 hours on the phone). Still not working. Yes it is a pop3 account....using droid x 2.2 with outlook 2007.

Still not working after doing following your directions.

This is such a pain in the *** to me because I use email more than anything on my phone. I paid $20 for Touchdown but I really hate it and for $20 its so freaking dated. Here we are almost 2011 we shouldn't be having these issues with smartphones.

I just forwarded my home email through gmail (on the web) and it seems to be working lol (comes in on my droid x gmail)....what a joke.

Its still working for me. But I was always able to get mail if I manually checked. My problem was that it wouldn't push thru automatically and sent mail would sit in the outbox and never send.

Well still not working. Only half the mail is showing up on Droid X. Either the mail goies to Droid or goes to home pc but not both. I will be calling Verizon and dsl provider again today.
