So I just did some back searching on Twitter, and it seems that @DroidLanding begins their contest / marketing campaign about 3 weeks before official release of new Droid devices that get this marketing treatment. I am speculating that if they have not yet begun their @DroidLanding marketing for the Bionic, it may not be released until later (Sept?).
Now, I realize that not all Droid branded phones receive this treatment, but I'm working on the assumption that the release of the Bionic is as anticipated as the release of the Droid X which did receive the treatment. I am also assuming that @MDB228 is fake. If @MDB228 IS legitimate, that might put them on track for the August 4 release, but typical viral marketing campaigns have included a contest / scavenger hunt.
This, of course, comes as a major bummed to me, as I, like many of you, have been holding off on using my upgrade.
What do you all think?
