Droix X and Ford sycn problem

I have a 2009 Lincoln MKS and a new Droid X phone. Everything works fine (calls, downloads, even reads text messages, etc.) but when I go to the phone menu on the car and touch the Droid X menu item, all my ring tones are played from the phone through the car stereo. When I switch to USB or radio, you don't hear the dial tones. Is this normal? thanks

I'll have to check this out on my 2008 Ford Edge Limited. I know that when I go to media and toggle over to BTST, it immediately plays my DX's ringtone, which is a file I've copied over to the SD card via PC.

BTW, reading aloud the SMS messages and having plenty of canned messages has been a great feature, something my previous Blackberry Tour didn't have.
