I have only seen water tests. No drop tests that I have been able to find. I don't really care to be honest because the phone is not shock proof anyway so I suspect that the screen breaks pretty easy. Like this one:

It's not unbreakable. It's not rugged. Try not to drop it.

From what I've seen if it, it still has the same back case as the regular s4, and there is no seal between the front and back half. The only thing I can think of is samsung adding bulk to it to make it shock resistant, maybe they added extra padding in the internals of the phone, that would account for its increased weight.

I would listen to Phil on this subject, this is his job.
