How do I permanently disable this? I am rooted. Everytime I uncheck the box, every so often it will be checked again and the sounds appear.

Thanks

I noticed this too in my rooted TW lg8. I never figured out how to fix it.

No, stock rom that's rooted, the latest update for Sprint's Galaxy S3. Camera sounds haven't been altered/removed.

How often does it come back? Also try and remember what you did or were using right before it happened. Disable it and then go to your camera then switch from still to video. Exit and go back to the sound settings. Has it been re enabled?

Yes, that seems to be the case (switching still-to-video in the camera) with it being re-enabled. Why does this happen?

Turn your camera sounds back on if disabled... Mine doesn't do it as long as I have camera sounds left stock (on).

Other than that, I don't have any suggestions other than a factory reset and don't even know for sure that will work.

My camera sounds haven't been altered. It's a weird phenomenon. Maybe it'll be fixed in the next samsung update.

I'm another stock ROM, stock recovery but rooted user.

I've been experiencing the return of the ever so annoying water drops every few days. I have not been and to replicate it.

I'll be using the phone, lock it, pick it up and notice the drop sounds are back.

Sometimes I'm be using it (surfing, texting, etc) and all of a sudden water drops. I go into sounds and see the check box is back on.

I did just upgrade to LI3 last night, so we'll see if it returns.

Turn off the sound in settings. Open your camera, switch your still camera to video and then switch back. Go back to your settings and see if the check mark is back.

I just tried what you suggested. Opened up camera, went home, and as soon as I tapped the screen the sound drop was back!

I went into Settings and it was checked. I unchecked it, re-launched the camera, went home and this time there was no drop sound.

So, it seems there may be some correlation with the sound and camera launch.

Skunkape60: Did you ask because you have a resolution? Thanks! :)

No... I wish I did. What's weird about it, every time you cycle the phone from still to video and back it re-selects the touch sounds. But they don't always start right away. Even though it get selected right away, it can be an hour or so before it starts making the sound or it can start right away. That's kind of why it took me so long to figure out.

Well, if you come across anything, keep us informed. :)
