I dropped my Nexus One while I was riding my motorcylce in the expressway..I felt it slip out of my pocket. Stupid me forgot to zip up my jacket pockets and there it went.

Anyway, I was in love with my Nexus but have since been forced to go back to my G1 and I cant stand how slow the G1 is. I'm only using the G1 until I can get my hands on a faster phone but I'm having trouble picking one.

I'm with TMobile so it has to be compatible with a little work if necessary. I don't like the wide (Evo4G-esque) phones...and I know that the Galaxy S plataform is just coming out. I have some issues with Samsung phones however, my friend has a Samsung Behold and its uber slow..I also hear that the Vibrant has a cheap plasticky feeling.

I dont know how I feel about a kboard (added thickness) so Im not sure wether to wait to see how the G2 will be or just go ahead and look for another Nexus. Any suggestions? Most phones appear to have a 1Ghz process anyway.

I would be waiting to see the G2, especially if you're coming from a Nexus One and G1.

Find another N1, or get a Vibrant (Galaxy) would be my choice.

In our household we have a N1 and a Captivate, and I don't agree that the Captivate is cheap or plasticy feeling. It seems lighter (weight wise). Weight is what most people seem to refer to as "feels good in the hands". It has nothing to do with build quality. In days past we returned two iPhones for defects. Couldn't find any physical defects in either of these two phones.

Vibrant is different than the captivate. Alot different. Vibrant does have a cheaper feel to it. But its deceptive. its still a great phone and build

Personally, I'd wait for the G2. Looks/sounds like a N1 with a keyboard, what could be better? Or, look on Craigslist for a used N1. I've seen a few recently.

I also think the G2 will be a solid device. I just wish it had a beefier CPU. Maybe there are some tricks up its sleeve, being clocked at only 800MHz these days. We are now living in the GHz world for smartphones.
