I dropped my phone yesterday during the fireworks and I had on the innocase 2 on!
My phone isn't cracked but the back of the phone doesn't shut properly now. The right side closes, but the left side pops out. I was very pissed at myself, so what should I do now? I mean, it is not a big deal but I always need my phone to be perfect!
I bought my phone on the fourth of june at radio shack.
Give me advise....
Should I not go in and complain.. or should I deal with it and take it in when theres a more serious problem?!?!

What do you think you're going to complain about? That your phone isn't gravity-proof? This is why they sell insurance. You can go in and ask, though. The worst they can do is say no.

why does it matter if the innocase will cover it up anyways?

how high did it drop?
what did =you drop it onto?
is the innocase still working fine?

The phone dropped, because I was taking a picture with my phone of the Washington Monument. Some drunk idiot bumped into me and that's how the phone dropped.
I do have insurance, but maybe I'm just obsessing too much, of keeping my evo perfect. I had a blackberry tour and I always dropped it, but it never broke or anything.
I'm thinking about getting the Seidio Active case instead..is that case pretty good?

Kinda like putting on your seat belt after a car crash, isn't it? ;)

Your story puts you at least one step above "I dropped it in the toilet," so it's worth going into RS or a Sprint store and asking them if they can do anything, but chances are they'll make it an insurance claim and you'll have to pay the deductible.

Even so, if it's in the case and fully functional, I'd ignore it and wait for a warranty-covered issue to pop up. An unscrupulous person would maybe do the 6/29 update two times and brick the phone on purpose to see if they'll replace it for a known issue. . . .

lol you're asking if you should go in and complain? come on man you dropped it, man up.

i dont know whos the bigger idiot, the OP for not being able to think for himself or the guy who let a drunkered idiot make him drop his phone while taking a picture and did nothing.

You should definitely complain - go to a sprint store, tell them you dropped your phone, and it's sprint's and htc's fault.

If that doesn’t work, try an at&t store, surely they'll be able to hook some magic up for ya.

come back here and let us know the results ASAP!

Rather than insult you, I'll offer a suggestion:

Take the back off and look at the inside of it (the back, not the phone). There are 2 tabs that fit into the phone at the bottom, 2 on either side, and two round alignment pins, one on each side. Make sure none of those are broken or bent.

Then look at the inside of the phone. You should be able to see the 4 rectangular holes, and 2 round rounds, where the tabs and pins go. Make sure nothing is blocking those holes.

HTH,

just call sprint and add insurance on your phone and then wait 30 days and return it to a sprint corporate store and pay $100 deductible

did you try pressing the back cover back on? I dropped mine but nothing broke but the battery cover was off some so I just pressed it back on.

You know something, pictures would help. Then we could properly access the situation. Show the back and the cover, and we might have a better idea why the back won't go on properly.

I wont be mean but since you dropped it u now may have to deal with the imperfection it has because of your mistake. Or you could pay the deductable.. I would just deal with it because u have a case on it and 100.00 is alot for something people and you wont even be able to see...
